The Bible translation used for the app is the Butcher 2000, of which the New Testament appeared in 1999; In 2002, the processing of the Old Testament could be completed. The revised Butcher's Bible seeks to render the Word of God literal and clear to the reader. This translation is based in the Old Testament the traditional Masoretic text and in the New Testament the traditional Greek text of the Reformation, which was also the basis of the old Zurich Bible, the old Luther Bible and the King James Bible. The footnotes indicate in many places the literal translation, where in the Bible text for the sake of clarity and intelligibility a meaningful reproduction was chosen. When the text has been reproduced verbatim, they provide supplementary explanations where necessary. In addition, where appropriate, other translation options have been cited that can deepen the understanding of the job. Frequently, the footnotes also contain historical factual information and references to other statements of Scripture, which can shed light on the statement of the text. A help to the Bible study should also be the indication of contentually related Bible passages, the so-called parallel passages. The aim of the parallel passages is to arouse the joy of reading the Bible and to promote the study of the Holy Scriptures. The parallel passages help to discover the wonderful treasures of the Bible. By comparing certain scriptures with others, we can discover what the Bible teaches.
